The Psilomelane

Description
Psilomelane is a group name for hard, black manganese oxide minerals. They often form exactly the puffy, rounded, black metallic-looking lumps you’re imagining. They can look almost like hardened foam or ink bubbles. Exploring volume; this sculptural skirt becomes a new body, expanding beyond the silhouette and forming an autonomous body in motion. Its sculptural construction creates a dynamic silhouette that transforms the relationship between body and garment. Lightweight yet expressive, it moves as a self-governing form, redefining space through its volume.
The Onyx is a black oversized puffer hoodie. Onyx is conceived as a protective volume, suspended between shelter and silhouette. Defined by its oversized proportions and insulated structure, it envelops the body in a continuous field of black, softening the boundary between wearer and garment. Like its namesake stone, Onyx absorbs rather than reflects, transforming mass into presence and darkness into form.
