Penumbra is the partially shaded outer region of the shadow cast by an opaque object. In astronomy it is the shadow cast by the earth or moon over an area experiencing a partial eclipse. A sculptural bag defined by braided handles integrated into the body of the piece. Function and form coexist within a single continuous structure
